Hi & thank you for being here to answer my ?s. I have been going through an episode of depression for about 2 months now & over the last 6 or so years, I have had about 6-7 episodes, but have always come out of them, so I am hopeful that this too shall pass. I keep trying to distract myself, but the automatic negative thoughts are just there, Is there anything I can do to make things easier to do, or bring my energy levels up? I just want my life back, my new Dr. has suggested electric shock therapy, but I read that it's not a permanemt cure & 50% relapse, it also seems a bit scary.
