Hi The Last Time I Was Sick My Doctor Recommended

Hi the last time I was sick my doctor recommended mucinex dm. I am agin sick with chest congestion and want to know if I can mix the mucinex dm with NyQuil. My dr prescribed codeine cough syrup last time but I didn't like taking it. I am allergic to phenegran so my cough syrup options are limited.
