Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi there I am a 59 year old male in relatively good health, I take Veraprimil and Hytrin to control my BP. I work as a high school security guard and ride around numerous hours a day during the school year on a golf cart. I am exposed to cold wind and weather but dress warmly here in the Str. Louis MO area. This year has beeb brutal with the cold and wind. As a result I do not get much sunlight for Vit. D which I believe may contribute to my infrequent fluttering feeling I sometimes have on my left chest/side. I do workout at a local gym lifting weights and walking to and from the location for exercise. I was diagnosed a few years back with low Vit D levels and I have started taking some Vit D3 500IUs daily to help raise my Vit D level and even out my bio rhythms. I had a stress test several years ago that said everything is fine. I believe the fluttering feeling I get is tied to the side effects of the BP drugs, along with the cold weather of late, and my lack of Vit D intake. Do you believe that after the weather warms up a bit and the Vit D pills begin to build up in my system that the fluttering will subside?
