Hi there I have a problem ongoing and would like a second opinion
In July I came down with the hives. Badly. When I went to my doctor I was told my iron level was at 375.
Prior to all this I had been on cerazette for a year with no period so I came off the pill. My level dropped to 275. However after the hives I went to the doctor and they put me back on the pill and said my bloods came back with raised white blood count and my iron was still high
I had very sore muscles so I took AIS to help relieve that which it did.
I was then getting nightmares on cerazette and gained 12 lbs in 8 weeks so the doctor took me back off it.
However since then I have severe swelling in my feet and hands. Also my abdomen has swollen badly and I am breathless. I have a bad metallic taste in my mouth and I have a sore upper back. I am very lethargic. Can you help ?? ( my iron levels are being investigated now) but I suspect they are right back to 375 again or more since I not had a period after coming off the pill yet. So my question is can high iron affect my kidneys ???
