Hi There. I Just Had An Emergency Appendectomy Yesterday And

Hi there. I just had an emergency appendectomy yesterday and I have flight scheduled this Sunday to go to Europe from Canada. My surgeon has said that I shouldn't fly within 2 weeks but our tip is completely non-refundable and I will be losing out on around $2000 dollars CAD. Do yoi have any advice if my surgeon was just being overly cautious. Any advice would b great. I can also get extra insurance to cover me well I am away.
