Hi there,
I'm a 39 year old male, and my left nipple is pretty sore when I press on it. Visibly, nothing looks different, and it doesn't feel a whole lot different than the other. There's no swelling, and the pain is confined to the area directly behind my nipple. I have moved the skin around to ensure that the pain isn't in my ribs, and indeed the soreness follows the nipple. Other than the pain when I press on it, there seems to be nothing else going on. This began rather suddenly about 2 weeks ago... Some days the pain is more evident than others, and the more I obsess about touching it, the more I seem to aggravate it (that part makes sense). I'm going to try sleeping on my back - I often find myself waking up to by laying directly on the nipple - I'm pretty thin, so perhaps the lack of "padding" combined with riving against my rib cage during sleep may have caused this initially. I seem to have no other symptoms - feel great otherwise.
