Hi there,
My wife awoke this morning. Hand is swollen, painful, on the thumb. This also occurred a few weeks ago on the middle finger (right on the knuckle) and stayed sensitive for about two weeks, then subsided. She's 54yo, 140 lbs, in reasonably good health. Took an Etodolac this morning and 2 Tylenols about 2 hours later (the Etodolac wasn't helping). If the initial pain was a 10 (1-10 with 10 being the worst), it's now about a 6. Grasping a pen (for example) is painful.
We suspected that maybe she bumped it in the night, but this pain seems to have reoccured in another part of her hand. Any thoughts?
