Hi, When I Get My Period It Lasts For 3

Hi, when i get my period it lasts for 3 - 4 days, stops for 2 to 2.5 days and thens starts up again for another 2 or 3 days with light bleeding. I'm not on the pill or any other form of contraception, since i can't take it for other medical reasons. They have been like this for the last six months ever since i stopped being on contraception, is this a normal thing to happen?
