Hi.I Am An Intravenous Drug User. A Few Days Ago

Hi.I am an intravenous drug user. A few days ago I missed the vien about 3 times in a row with 4 to 8 milligrams of dilaudid. Now the area is very swollen and very tender and turning blackish. Should I put cold packs on the infected area or a heating pad? I will not be going to the doctor anytime soon. I must try and let it heal on its own. Please offer me advise.
