Hi,k My Husband Is Experiencing Pain In His Right Hand

Hi,k my husband is experiencing pain in his right hand side of his back - reading some things regarding kidneys we are not sure whether we should go and have it checked out at the hospital? Kidney stone? He has a very high pain tolerance and says the pain is quite bad and began during the night and has lasted all day even though he took some ibuprofen this morning.
