Histological examination of the sections reveal fibrocollagenous and fibroadipose
tissue lined by hyperplastic mesothelial lining. The tissue is infiltrated by chronic
inflammatory cell infiltrate comprising predominantly of lymphocytes. Focal myxoid
areas along with lymphoid follicles having prominent germinal centers are also
identified.
No granuloma is seen and there is no evidence of malignancy.
