Historically, I am known to show Beta Thalassemia trait. Recently, I had my annual physical examination. I show high metamyelocytes (0.1) and low lymphocytes (0.6). RBC and WBC from the Complete Blood Count is normal - 6.0 and 7.5 respectively. Is this something I should be concerned about? What could be done to correct the anomaly? It would be great if you could advise.
