History: I Am 49 Yrs Old HCV Pos (geno 1b)

History:
I am 49 yrs old HCV pos (geno 1b) , on methadone 25 yrs, about to begin the new treatment. I drink a lot of beer, miller lite (12 - 18 per day depending on weekday or weekend), but no liquor. Extensive drug history, but no longer abusing. I quit smoking 1 - 1.5 packs of menthol lights after 20 yrs smoking, and have not smoked in 5 yrs maybe longer. I also smoked crack cocaine, but not for years. I just discovered my HCV viral load was high, but I don't know how high. Last biopsy was 6 - 7 yrs ago, and I was in stage 1 but I drank much less then. I am going in for some type of fancy fiber scan next week that will take the place of a biopsy, but all I know now is that my viral count is high, though the very routine, labs, enzymes maybe (two or three inexpensive liver test) showed normal results.

Currently:

I am not inquiring about liver issues. I have that covered, but I needed to provide history. My problem is neck pain. I have had neck pain for several weeks. For several months, people cannot understand my when I talk to them, especially on the phn. These are people that I talk to on the phone several times a day, day after day for work, vendors I have dealt with for 5 yrs or more.
Today, I woke up with a sore throat. It was so bad, that I thought perhaps I had put my rubber tooth grinding thing on and swallowed it. I have white and red spots on my throat.

How much for an opinion from a ENT or Internalist?
