Hopefully. Two Days Ago I Awoke With Three Sores On

Hopefully. Two days ago I awoke with three sores on my nose that I knew was not pimples. They are now open and oozing. I must have scratched them in my sleep as they are really red and open. They are very unsightly, but even more so, I am concerned about what they might be. Is there a chance that these sores could be cancerous? I have had sores inside my nose, left nostril only, that won't seem to heal or after I pick at them they come back. Should I be concerned about these sores or am I being overly cautious?
