How Can I Manage Vaginal Pain And Discomfort While Being Treated For Kidney Infection?
I was recently diagnosed with a kidney infection and I was prescribed phenazopyridine and sulfameth/trimethoprim. I was told that i should be feeling better within three days. Its been a day and i feel a lot better but im still having really intense pain in my vagina right where it opens only on the lrft side of the hole. It s so painful for me to even walk or sit down, when i urinate, and whenever i wipe after using the bathroom. It kind of feels like mu vagina is starting to close. Ive been searching things online and I m worried i might be experiencing vaginal dryness. Unless it hurts because of my kidney infection i am not sure. But the pain medicine i was give helped with everything else besides my vaginal pain. I currently do not have any discharge or odd odors. I am sexually active. I am 22 years old and have been taking birth control called ocella since i was 16 to help regulate my periods. Ive had a bladder infection before also. The pain medicine i was perscribed i was instructed to take one tablet 3 times daily. I had 6 pills and i have 3 left. My vaginal pain still has not been relieved. Im beginning to think it mighy not get relieved. The pain started while i was on my period it started to itch then after scratching so much it began to hurt. Its more of a stinging scratch type feeling that burning or soreness. I triedfeeling around to see if i had any bumps or rashes and there appears to be none.
