How Can A Bleeding Skin Abrasion Be Treated?

Dear Doctor, an 80yr old lady fell and had her skin abrased or we say in layman torn or broken skin, we went to the hospital and the wound was only covered with antibac gauze and gave vit c and sent us home . that was 4 days ago. now the wound still seems a bit wet and slight bleeding. she' diabetic btw.
