How Can A Hard Throat Lump Causing Dysphagia Be Treated?

Hi, I noticed a pretty big lump at the lower part of my throat on the outside last night. It is broad and a bit flat, but sizable. It is not tender when I push on it, but swallowing is a bit harder to do. I am worried about it since I have never experienced something like this. Obviously I prefer not to go to the hospital if it is likely nothing. Any ideas?
