How Can A Painful Clitoris Skin Growth Causing Intercourse Pain Be Treated?

The peice of skin around the lower left corner of my clitorus (the thing that connects it to the left libia minora) sticks out naturally (its not like that on the right side) and it is very painful and makes clitoral sex uncomfortable and painful, ive had it for a long time but not forever, what could this be? Can i treat it?
