How Can A Swollen Areola Lump With Pain Be Treated?

I was just sitting on the couch and all of the sudden I had a jolt of pain on my breast when i brushed it with my hand, so I was looking at it and one of the little bumps on my areola is swollen and feels like it is on and under the skin. It also has a deeper red than usual on the swollen spot.
