How Can A Weeping Leg Scab With Pus Be Treated?

Hi I have a scab on my leg that originally kept breakig up and bit woul fall off so I stopped using savlon on it. The scab has now stayed but it keeps weeping and the puss smells a little foul. Is this normal? The scab was the result of me grazing leg and is about 1inch long by 1/2 inch wide and probably 3 cm deep.
