How Can An Open Stomach Sore With Redness Be Treated?

I am 71 5' 2" tall and weight 138 pounds - I have lost 22 pounds working for another 18. Under the fold of my stomach when I was using a blow dryer to dry I noticed an open red sore (not really much feeling). Hard to cover - bandage won't stay on - what should I do - see my doctor.
