How Can Bruising And Swelling Under A Thumb Nail After Injury Be Treated?

I caught my thumb in a sliding glass door last night and have a lot of swelling and bruising under the nail. I am on vacation right now and am going scuba diving in the morning. It’s pretty painful but it’s just a bruise right. Diving will be fine?? Thanks
