How Can Chronic Cough With High SGPT Levels Be Treated?

I have a chronic cough, may be for more than 8 weeks. My x-ray was normal however blood report revealed that my SGPT levels are high. I am a daily drinker till last week, and was drinking for almost 15 years. I do not have any other symptom other than cough. Please advice
