How Can Chronic Headaches Be Treated?

Hi, for over 1 week now I have had a headache, it hurts alot whenever I stand up, it might sound strange but it feels as though my brain is trying to get out of my head. I have taken paracetamol and codeine (seperately) to no avail. Should I be worried?
