How Can Chronic Headaches Be Treated?

Hi. Ok, I know I probably might need more sleep than I am getting, and it might be my problem, but I'm getting at least 7 hours every night. I have had a really bad headache for the last 5 days to the point that I go to sleep sometimes so I am not bothered by it. Normally I take 1 ibuprofen to get rid of a headache, but i've been needing 3 to get rid of it enough to make it through a few hours. Lights have been bothering me and my headaches make me not want to eat. When I tried to take a migraine pill instead, it barely worked and made me nauseas and have the feeling of vertigo. I was ignoring it until yesterday when it got so bad to the point that I could not do my school work without closing my eyes every few moments. Is there anything simple I can do to make it go away?
