How Can Ear Tinnitus And Throbbing Pain Be Treated?

2 ½ year ago I took a 5 hour flight. When I got to my hotel I had an audible roaring/swhoosing noise in my left ear. It has not abated in 2 ½ years. I have seen two ENT's and one Neurosurgeon. Nothing has helped (Nasonex or MVD surgery). I have been very depressed as a result of this and I hope you can help me. If I press on my neck just under my chin on the left side it stops until I release pressure. Also, if I do the valsalva (plug nose and lightly blow) it stops for about 10 seconds until my ears re-pressurize. Can you please help me? I am so desperate. The past few months I've had a throbbing pain inside my ear. Prior to the flight 2 ½ years ago I wore ear plug for over 10 years every night to sleep. I often wonder if that didn't damage my ear?
