How Can Eardrum Damage Caused By Trauma Be Treated?

Hi, I am 35 yrs old. I got a slap on my left ear a week ago and have damaged my eardrum. I have taken opinion of several doctors. Some say that the eardrum will heal by itself in 4 to 5 weeks. One doctor said that a slight microscopic treatment is required as the ear bones are lying bare and the eardrum had slightly shifted and it will not heal by itself what shall I do?
