How Can Fever, Malaise With Body Aches And Rashes Be Treated?

I have had a recurring low grade fever, general malaise and body aches, accompanied by a large butterfly shaped rash at the top of my butt crack for a couple of years now. I have mentioned it to my MD and he doesn't say much. The fever and rash last approx. 24 hours and occur every couple of months.
