How Can Herpes Zoster Be Cured?

for the last one week i am having skin eruption with lot of pain and every day the affected area was increasing and also in new area occuring.
for 5 days my dr gave me antihistamines and antibiotics but its vain.
from yesterday onwards he started antiviral tablets.
please let me know what medicines to be taken and for how many days
will this herpes zooster can be cured totally
