How Can Ovarian Cysts With Cramping And Pain Be Treated?

I get bad cramps during during my cycle and sometime even after my cycle. The pain shifts from my left to right pelvic approx every 6 months. In October 2010, I had extreme pain and pressure on both my pelvic for exactly one (10) month. "hospital visits are regular for me' but that month, i feared death. I spent 12+ hours in the hospital doing ultrasounds, x-trays, scans...etc. later the doctor told me that I had 2 ovarian cyst 1.5 cm in diameter 'probably functional cysts with no fluids is seen in the posterior cul de sac". My GYN also made it clear to me that every female develops cyst during or after their peirods, but the cyst usually disappear. Honestly I am scared out of mind because the first hospital visit started when I was 16 years old, I am now 24. every doctor keeps telling me that I will be fine, thing will be okay but the pain I got through is so severe... what can I do at home to ease the pain? "sometimes medication do not work"
