How Can Pityriasis Rosea Be Effectively Treated?

I have a pityriasis rosea looking rash which has been going on for about a year. But recently it has got particularly bad especially on my back.It occurs on my arms and my torso mainly. Never my face I think hot weather makes it worse. I am dark skinned so it is leaving unsightly scars
