How Can Pubic Area Rash With Itching And Swelling Be Treated?

I have a rash from shaving my pubic area. It's very swollen, and looks like large pimples that maybe broke open and got infected. It is incredibly painful and itchy. What is the best way to get rid of this? (P.S. I will never shave "there" again!) I appreciate any advice you can give me.
