How Can Severe Pain In The Knees Be Treated?

I was told that my knee cap dropped as I was wearing the Taylor external fixation for over a year and the muscles supporting the knee were weakened. I have recovered to the point were I no longer need a wheel chair but I am in terrible pain and have gained a lot of weight. The meloxican I take doesn t help much. Is there anything I can do?l
