How Does Regestrone Affect Ovulation?

Hi, Pinky This side. My cycle is of 35 days Exact . I had my last period on 29th Jan. Since I missed my Period, I checked myself for pregnancy after 3 days. But negative Result. When I had my blood test for HCG , it has shown me 0.53 on 10 March . My doctor advised me to take course of 10 pills of regestrone. Please help me to know how it will effect in my ovulation.
