How Does Papilloma In Breast And Nipple Discharge Relate To Cowden Syndrome?

January 27, 2015Cowden Syndrome/PTEN I am asking you for help and advice for my Daughter Chyanne. When she was 22 she had Thyroid Cancer and had her Thyroid removed along with a Lipoma in her throat that was the size of a grapefruit. She has had 2 Papaloma lumps in her breast over the last 10 years. She has numerous Lipoma’s throughout her body. She has another one growing in her throat that the doctor doesn’t want to remove because of it’s location. She just had the second surgery about 6 weeks ago for a Papaloma in her breast. The nipple has discharge still coming out of it. She discovered a small hard lump under her arm that the doctor says is Squamous. My mother died of Squamous Cell Carcinoma. The Doctor is telling Chyanne to wait 3 months and just watch it. Her surgeon thinks she has Cowden Syndrome/PTEN and wants to have her tested. She has a large head as well as all the other symptoms, like thirsty all the time, over weight, tired.Today a different doctor discovered a mole that they are going to test for cancer on Feb 10th. This poor kid is so worried and stressed out I am afraid she is going to have a break down. She does not have Health Insurance (we are working on that) I (Mom) have been helping her as much as I can with the medical bills. From all that I have read about Cowden Syndrome, I swear to GOD this is her. Do have any advice on where to get the PTEN test or what it would cost? Please Help we want a second opinon especially with the Doctor telling her to wait 3 months..Deanna Wissing
