How Effective And Safe Is Taking Althea Instead Of Dianne?

I have been using dianne 35 for the past 5 months already and just started to take another brand of pill which is althea...I dont have any menstrual cycle during the 5 month period so I think it's ok for me to take althea even if i dont have my period? correct?
