How Is Mirena Stuck Up In Womb Removed?

Hello my name is Maria I'm a 26 yr old mum of 2, I currently have a marina coil in, I went for a smear test last week only to be told that they couldn't see the wires so they sent me to see a doctor who fits them and she couldn't see them ether so they are sending me for a scan as they think it may be in my womb, my question is that if it is than how will it be removed will I have to have an operation.
