How Is Trichomoniasis Transmitted?

hi I have a history of having bv within the last couple of years.. Always go to the doctors right away to be seen. I been having sex with my boyfriend for 2 years unprotected with no problems at all..last saturday and sunday we has sex none stop that weekend. I noticed I was having discharged after the second day. The third and fouth day it begun to smell very unpleasant. This I thought again okay my bv must returned. Went to the doctors on 2-7-15 and was tested. The doctor informed me that i have trichmoniasis. I was in shocked. I asked was she sure. She said yes.. I was in disbelief. I right away informed my boyfriend that I had this STD. He informed me how is that when he has no signs or symtoms and says I didnt get it from him. Well he went to the doctors today and was tested and he does not have it at all. He is saying maybe I contracted it from the hotel i am staying at. Im not understanding how he is does not have TRich and I do. And he doctor did not still treat him at all after he sle with me. My question is ...Is this possible for me to have it and not him....
