How Long Norethisteron Take To Terminate Two Week Pregnancy?

i was prescribed norethisteron to stop my two old week pregnancy. i have used 9 tablets for 3 days and now after three days after finishing the tablet my period doesn't show up. my first question is how many days should i wait for my period to show up?
and next is in the case my pregnancy doesn't stop do the tablets have any side effects on the fetus or not?
