How Long Do Fingernails Take To Grow Back?

I lost my pinky fingernail due to an injury and then it started to hurt so I took it off. Now it's been 2 weeks and it looks like a finger with no nail... Will it return to the way it was? How long does pinky fingernails take to grow back? Should I always cover it with a bandage or what should I do? I use Neosporin and a bandage everyday.
