How Long Do Headaches Last After Being Injured On Head?

My mum fell approximately four weeks ago and banged her head on the pavement. She is still getting bad headaches. In the interim it was discovered she had a small bleed to the brain. She has been advised that she is going to have another ct scan in approximately 3 weeks. How long should the headaches last?
