How long do side effects from Prolea last. My last injection was April 2015, I had 2 and decided this drug was not for me. I have considerable pain in my thigh and am now using a cane to help me walk. I am seeing my doctor and he has recommended a hip replacement due to arthritis in the joint I have not discussed the Prolea issue with him except he did say quitting the prolea was the right thing to do.
