How Long Do Symptoms Of Vertigo Last?

I recently was diagnosed with having vertigo. for the last couple of weeks I have been walking into walls, feeling like my legs arent even up under me and just feeling down right dizzy and out of it. My doctor prescribed a DOS pack and 875mg of Amoxicillan 20 pills. Out of the 20 pills I took about 15 of them and also took all of the dos pak. At my follow up yesterday I told her that the same symptoms I was experiencing before the vertigo I am now experiencing again. The head in the clouds kind of feeling and slight headache but now my head is tender to touch and i have a left ear infection. She then gave me Cipro and some ear drops. Please help how long does this thing last and why do I feel like I am 70 yo when I am only 37?
