How Long Does Marijuana Stay In Our System?

yes I have a friend who smoked marijuana on Monday the 5th and is to have knee surgery on Monday the 12th. It still be in her system and show up in the lab results that they request before surgery. Also, will this affect the anesthesia and should we tell the doctor?
