How Long Does Adeno Virus Take To Get Cured?

I have been sick with an adeno virus 11 days - this was since the fever started. I also have asthma - because it can spread so easily i have stayed at home and not mixed with anyone - i am feeling brighter and have not had a fever now for about 5 days although still coughing and my voice is a bit gruff still. My Doc gave me steroids and antibiotics which i have just completed. What i want to know is am i safe now to mix with people as i can go to some social things this week - but i do not want to spread it to my elderly friends.
