How Long Does Bruise With Lump In Center Last?

Should it take 4 months for a bruise to go away? All that is left is the outline around my calf, but the is also a small but tender lump that has developed under the darkest remaning edge. The lump just started to form about 3-4 weeks ago, that I noticed. The discoloration is darkest after a shower.
