How Long Does Contraceptive Patch Take To Start Working?

I am currently using contraceptive patches and I started taking medication on thursday (Co-amoxiclav). The following friday night i had sex with my partner and am unsure if my patch is going to protect me? Also, if i go to get morning after pill (will need to be quick to get it today though) will my medication affect the morning after pill?
