How Long Does Dissolvable Stitches Take To Heal?

Hi, I had a skin tag removed from my vagina yesterday and have dissolvable stitches as a result, it's pretty sore but I wasn't given any advice on what to do so have been taking nurofen. How long will it take for the stitches to dissolve and is there anything I can do to ease the discomfort?
