How Long Does It Take To Stop Bleeding In The Brain?

Hello my boyfriend was in a accident 2/20/15 and he suffered from brain injuries. We were told that he had light bleeding on the brain and sum shearing on the stem. He blinks In responding when someone talks to him. And he s just now looking at us when we talk to him. The nurses are saying that he s not going to progress & that he will die. (Pretty harsh) his temp goes up and down and if he s stimulated to much his heart rate and blood pressure goes up. But for some reason I soothe him. I wanna know the good, The bad, & the ugly. One neuro told me that it takes time to heal the brain and nurses are telling me the brain never heals
