How Long Does Lump On The Bruised Knee Take To Subside?

I fell and bruised the front of my left leg/shin just under &medial to the kneecap, about 2 weeks ago. I immediately had a goose egg and a lot of brushing. I iced it several times in the first 48 hours. It was painful for about a week and the bruising is fading. The goose egg is still there,soft and squished and smaller but still noticeable. It doesn t hurt now except for when pressure is put on it (kneeling). My question is when can I expect the goose egg to go away completely? Thanks!
